Grilled Cheese & Pastrami

Who doesn’t love grilled cheese! This is a so simple and fast and yet so yummy and a favourite in our household for a quick easy lunch or snack.  Don’t be put off by the greens you don’t even taste them

Because of the  addition of the kale and spinach  this simple lunch or snack is transformed into something a little more nutritious, but certainly does not take away the deliciousness!

Feel free to substitute the pastrami for any other cooked meat you have

Grilled Cheese & Pastrami

Serves: 1 serve
  • 3 slices of your favourite cheese
  • 4 slices of Pastrami
  • 2 slices of your favourite bread
  • Butter
  • 2 slices of finely sliced Red onion
  • small handful of Baby Kale or Spinach
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar free Tomato relish
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Butter one side of the bread, make sure buttered side is on the outside of the sandwich press
  2. Spread opposite side of bread with sugar free tomato relish
  3. Layer over Pastrami
  4. Top with Red onion
  5. Add Kale or Spinach
  6. salt and pepper
  7. Place your cheese on last so it's on top and melts over everything
  8. Put into sandwich press until cheese melts
  9. enjoy!
