Sneaky Banana Smoothie

This Banana Smoothie is my go to after school drink & my way of covertly sneaking in the healthy stuff that my 5 year old would never EVER have if he was told it was in there.

I’m not normally into tricking my kids, but when it comes to making sure they are consuming something that is good for them, and believe me, my son is extremely fussy!  then I’m all for it!!

I have had many trial and error’s as I try to sneak more and more healthy things into these smoothies.

Because of this I have had to concede that for my son, this is the limit at which he will happily guzzle  down a whole glass full and ask for more.

Hence, this recipe is a base  that I can add many more things to, depending on who will be drinking it, the options are endless!!!!

Ginger has many beneficial qualities, It can be used to help digestion, reduce nausea, help fight the common cold and flu, plus much more.

As a result, I like to make sure the kids are getting the benefits that ginger has to offer.

Therefore I make tea from the sliced root ginger and then pour the cold tea into ice-cube trays.  That way I always have some to throw in our smoothies and you cannot really even taste it.

Try some of these other delicious smoothies Kale Spinach Berry Smoothie or Healthy Pina Colada Smoothie or Healthy Chocolate Thick Shake
