Slow Roasted Lamb

Ingredients
  • 1 leg of lamb
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 2 cup white wine
  • 2 cups stock/broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 sprigs of rosemary or thyme
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 120C/fan
  2. Put leg of lamb in a large lidded casserole dish on the stovetop
  3. Season with salt and pepper
  4. brown the lamb and onions on all sides - ( we do this as it does not brown during cooking).
  5. Pour in, the wine, stock, garlic, rosemary or thyme and bay leaves
  6. put the lid on and place in your preheated oven
  7. cook for between 5 - 7 hours
